Where Are We Wednesdays (06/06/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Technicians Tim and Ivan sent in this selfie today while on a jobsite in University City, Missouri.  Country Home Elevator has partnered with Mark Mehlman Homes to provide elevator options for their townhome projects over the years.  This week we are installing the 5th Symmetry Home Elevator for this particular project.  The bottom picture on the left shows the freshly set rails, this elevator will service four floors.

The next selfie is of Lead Technician Adam in St. Louis, Missouri.  He is with an inspector performing an acceptance test on a new Symmetry Home Elevator.  The elevator passed with flying colors and the happy homeowner is ready to enjoy it for years to come!

The final picture on the right was taken by Oklahoma Operations Manager Jim.  Teamed with Technician Owen, they responded to a service call in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  When an untrained handyman or electrician attempts to work on elevators, they tend to cause more harm than good.  Not only are all of our technicians factory trained, they are also state licensed and enrolled in the national certification program (or have completed it, like Jim).  Jim and Owen now not only have to diagnose the original problem, but are examining the wiring to ensure that no issues were caused during the “repair”.

Our crews are also in Troy, Clayton, Chillicothe, Harrison, Hollister, Branson, Blue Eye, Tulsa, Springfield and Rogersville today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Where Are We Wednesdays (05/30/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Technician Ivan sent in the first two photos today from a jobsite in Kansas City, Missouri.  He joined Kansas City Technician Darren (pictured in the top middle) to install a Symmetry Home Elevator that will service four floors.  The Symmetry Home Elevator can service up to six floors, we have installed them from cupolas all the way down to multi-basements.

The bottom middle picture was taken by Lead Technician Adam, him and Technician Austin joined Oklahoma Technician Owen to complete the installation Symmetry Limited Access/Limited Use Elevator in Edmond, Oklahoma.  This picture shows the hoistway and machine room, the mounting pieces are set and the rail is next!

The final picture on the right was taken by Technician Tim.   Pictured is Installation Manager Bill inspecting the drive system of a Transporter Elevator before they unload it to begin the installation in Mt Vernon, Missouri.  This cutting-edge elevator is the only residential elevator in the industry that is battery powered.  With most of our servicing area in Tornado Alley, we see quite a bit of storms, which can make potential customers leery about getting stuck in their elevator.  Although all elevators are required to have a battery backup in place, the Transporter can run multiple trips (up to 10+ times), in BOTH directions, on its own batteries.

Our crews are also in Springfield and Oklahoma City today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Where Are We Wednesdays (05/23/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

The top two pictures were taken by Lead Technician Adam in Branson, Missouri today.  His crew is installing another Canton Elevator at the Grand Country Inn, one of the main attractions on the Branson Strip of Highway 76.  Country Home Elevator offers Canton’s Tradesman Model Elevator, a holeless hydraulic driven elevator that can service up to a 2500lb capacity.  The top right picture is of Technician Austin finishing up the wiring, this brand new elevator will be ready to ride during the busy Memorial Day weekend.

Technician Tim snapped the bottom left picture of our newest employee, Technician Jesse, in Ridgedale, Missouri.  Tim is training on how to install a Symmetry Home Elevator in a condo.  Symmetry Elevators are classy in appearance, whisper quiet, energy saving, environmentally friendly, and unsurpassed in safety precautions.  They are the top home elevator brand we offer, so it is important that all technicians start training on them immediately.  Soon, he will go to Symmetry’s factory for in-depth training on all of their products.  Welcome to the team Jesse!

The final picture on the bottom right was sent in by Oklahoma Operations Manager Jim.  He is working with Technician Owen today to service a stairlift in Oklahoma City.  Although this lift was installed by another company, the customer has reached out to us for repairs.  Being a licensed dealer of every major stairlift brand on the market, it is easy for us to step in when a customer needs help.  Unlike the basic handyman, we state licensed and able to honor manufacturer’s warranties.

Our crews are also in Overland Park, Lake Lotawana, Parkville, Fayetteville, West Fork, and Skiatook today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Where Are We Wednesdays (05/16/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Last week Technician Tim completed Factory Training at Handicare, this week he got to test his skills installing a new stair lift.  He sent in the picture on the left of a happy customer taking her new lift for a ride in Fayetteville, AR.  Our Corporate Office in Brighton, Missouri features four stair lifts available for customers to try in various brands, including a Handicare Stair Lift like the one featured here.

The picture on the top right was taken by Lead Technician Adam in Branson, Missouri today.  Pictured is Arkansas Technician Dustin servicing a vertical platform lift at Ride The Ducks.  If you have ever been to Branson, I’m sure you have seen the Duck Tour Vehicles taking sightseers through town, equipped with duckbill calls.  What makes them unique is that the vehicles are based off the original WWII DUKW vehicles, they operate both on roads and in water.  The only option for handicapped individuals to enter these custom vessels is through the vertical platform lift, so Country Home Elevator keeps it regularly maintained, inspected, and modernized as needed.

The final picture on the bottom left was taken by Oklahoma Operations Manager Jim in Oklahoma City today.  He ran some routine maintenance calls before returning to his office to work on the new scheduling system.  Efficiency is crucial to productivity, so Country Home Elevator has been moving towards a more electronic geared servicing system.  Instead of using a paper-based system, our technicians now have tablets that route them to calls and provides them with necessary service information.  Service tickets are completed electronically and immediately emailed to the customer on site.  This not only brings efficiency, but it is better on the environment.

Our crews are also in Springfield, Bella Vista, St. Joseph, Bolckow, St. Louis, and Neosho today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Where Are We Wednesdays (05/09/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

The two photos on the left were taken by Lead Technician Adam while running Missouri Elevator Safety Inspections today.  The Missouri Department of Fire Safety Elevator Safety Unit requires an annual inspection on all commercial mobility lifts.  They also require an adherence to the National Elevator Code regarding routine maintenance.  During these inspections, a Missouri Licensed Mechanic performs routine maintenance and assists a Missouri Licensed Inspector with the inspection.  The top picture is of a National Wheel-O-Vator LULA being inspected in Greenwood, Missouri.

The bottom picture on the far left is of a periodic inspection in Puxico, Missouri.  Along with the annual inspection, hydraulic lifts are required to have an additional load test performed every five years in Missouri.  Our Missouri Licensed Mechanics come prepared for these tests with weights.  We make all of the scheduling arrangements for customers, making these inspections as seamless as possible.

The top middle picture shows Kansas City Technician Darren and Senior Technician Ron patiently waiting for a Kansas City Inspector with a homeowner early this morning.  The City of Kansas City has its own Elevator Safety Unit, and all inspections must be completed with city inspectors.  These inspectors book out weeks, sometimes in busy times of the year it can be months.  Luckily the inspector showed up shortly after and the homeowner is now enjoying his new Symmetry Home Elevator.

The bottom middle picture comes from Oklahoma Operations Manager Jim.  Pictured is Oklahoma Technician Owen, they were called by a building owner who had a dead elevator and no servicing company to take care of it.  Calls like this come through frequently, and our experienced team is ready and willing to help!

The two pictures on the right were sent in by Technician Tim in St. Louis, MO.  Our technicians are kept up to date on training, this week some of the team is training at the Handicare Factory.  Arkansas Technician Dustin is in the bottom picture, he was given a non-working component and tasked with the job to figure out what was wrong and fix it.

Our crews are also in Joplin, Carthage, Mt. Vernon, Branson, Bolivar, Springfield, Skiatook, Oklahoma City, Edmond, Liberty, and Lawrence today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Where Are We Wednesdays (05/02/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Oklahoma Operations Manager Jim is in Lawton, Oklahoma today.  He took the two pictures on the left of the Garaventa Vertical Platform Lift he is repairing.  This lift is in City Hall and gives wheelchair accessibility to the stage.  Three or four steps up to get your high school diploma – no challenge for a person with ordinary mobility, but it might as well be a mountain for those in wheelchairs. The need for wheelchair accessibility in auditorium and stage applications is often overlooked, but it becomes painfully obvious in situations like the one illustrated here.

The top two photos on the right were taken by Lead Technician Adam in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  He is with Arkansas Technician Dustin, Technician Tim, and Technician Austin installing a series of Symmetry Home Elevators in townhomes that overlook the Donald W Reynolds Razorback Stadium.  This fall, homeowners will be able to use the elevators to bring groceries to the kitchen for tailgate parties, instead of lugging them up flights of stairs.  Go Hogs!

The final picture on the right was sent in by Senior Technician Ron.  This LEV Home Elevator has hoistway access through the roof, and the lakefront views were enjoyable on this beautiful spring day.  Have you ever wondered what it would be like to own a home with an elevator?  This home is for sale, and the elevator now has a new battery backup system, light bulbs, and is ready for the next homeowner.

Our crews are also in St. Joseph, Overland Park, Leawood, Paul Valley, Springfield, and Branson today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays
