Where Are We Wednesdays (9/20/2017)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Starting on the top left, Owner of Country Home Elevator Craig Jones is inspecting a new truck for the Kansas City Office.  Decals are going up tomorrow, Lead Technician Darren, pictured below, will hopefully be behind the wheel of it soon.  He is with Technician Andrew today in St. Joseph, Missouri installing a Symmetry Hydraulic Elevator.

Featured in the middle is Mr. Bax enjoying his new Symmetry Elevator in California, Missouri.  Our elevator cabs can be customized by wood species, stains, panel types, and metal finishes to match any home.  We share a motto with Willie Wonka, if you can dream it we can make it!  We have included a bigger picture below for more detail.

Over on the right, Technician Austin is getting help from a furry friend during an elevator install in Warsaw, Missouri.  Below, a housecat in Hot Springs, Arkansas was inspecting Technician Tim’s tools during a routine maintenance visit.  Our crews happily encounter pets on a daily basis, we even have a shop kitty and two office dogs at the corporate office in Brighton, Missouri.  It just so happens that our office dogs had a litter of puppies, we will make sure to share a picture of them next week!

Our crews are also in Fort Leonard Wood, Boonville, Clarksville, Ozark and Oklahoma today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Thanks for reading, and remember to check us out every Wednesday for updates!

Elevator Humor for April Fools Day

Sound of elevator muzak
Sound of elevator muzak

No April 1st would be complete without a corny elevator joke.

Sure, we take our business seriously; but let’s get serious! We need to roll our eyes and shake our heads with a grin every now and then.

With our residential elevator installation, the music is optional. 🙂

A+ Rating from Better Business Bureau

Better Business Bureau A+ Letter

2016 marks our 11th year with the Better Business Bureau of Southwest Missouri. Our commitment to customer satisfaction is reflected in our A+ rating, the organization’s highest possible accreditation grade.

As with all businesses accredited by the BBB, CHE must adhere to the BBB’s “Code of Business Practices,” a comprehensive set of policies, procedures and best practices on how businesses treat consumers. The standards call for integrity, truth in advertising, and building deserved trust in the community. Maintaining their accreditation requires businesses to be transparent, honor their promises, and be responsive to customers and take care to safeguard customer privacy.

We are proud of the recognition we received, and humbled by the amount of effort that went into serving customers throughout the states of Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas markets to earn the rating.

“Nonproprietary” – An Obscure But Important Word

When you’re out asking questions about a new home elevator, be sure to ask this one: “Is the controller nonproprietary?” We guarantee that this will make you sound extremely intelligent and well-informed, even if you have no idea what it means! But it’s even better if you know what the word signifies when applied to home elevators.

“Nonproprietary” is simply the opposite of “proprietary” – which, when it comes to elevators, is a word you seriously don’t want to hear. A proprietary part, such as the mainboard controller of an elevator, is a “black box” that only the original manufacturer knows how to make and service. So for elevator manufacturers, proprietary means “big profits”. For the elevator end-users, however, proprietary can mean “slow service”, “special tools required,, “expensive replacement parts”, or even “dead elevator with replacement parts no longer made”.

As you might have guessed by now, Country Home Elevator does not market proprietary units. Our home elevators are made by Bella Elevator Symmetry, a manufacturer which uses generic, nonproprietary parts to build their elevator controllers. A knowledgeable elevator tech can get all the replacement parts he needs from Grainger or any comparable generic source.

So be sure to remember that word, nonproprietary. It could save you more money, time, and aggravation than you can imagine.
