Where Are We Wednesdays (05/30/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Technician Ivan sent in the first two photos today from a jobsite in Kansas City, Missouri.  He joined Kansas City Technician Darren (pictured in the top middle) to install a Symmetry Home Elevator that will service four floors.  The Symmetry Home Elevator can service up to six floors, we have installed them from cupolas all the way down to multi-basements.

The bottom middle picture was taken by Lead Technician Adam, him and Technician Austin joined Oklahoma Technician Owen to complete the installation Symmetry Limited Access/Limited Use Elevator in Edmond, Oklahoma.  This picture shows the hoistway and machine room, the mounting pieces are set and the rail is next!

The final picture on the right was taken by Technician Tim.   Pictured is Installation Manager Bill inspecting the drive system of a Transporter Elevator before they unload it to begin the installation in Mt Vernon, Missouri.  This cutting-edge elevator is the only residential elevator in the industry that is battery powered.  With most of our servicing area in Tornado Alley, we see quite a bit of storms, which can make potential customers leery about getting stuck in their elevator.  Although all elevators are required to have a battery backup in place, the Transporter can run multiple trips (up to 10+ times), in BOTH directions, on its own batteries.

Our crews are also in Springfield and Oklahoma City today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Lead Technician Adam sent in the top three pictures, his crew joined Oklahoma Operations Manager Jim’s team to do onsite training for LU/LA installations at Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  The bottom three pictures were sent in by Technician Ivan, he is with Arkansas Technician Dustin and Kansas City Technician Darren attending factory training on LU/LA installation and troubleshooting at Symmetry Elevating Solutions in Peoria, Illinois.  With summer fast approaching, our crews want to be up to date on their training to prepare for construction busy season.

The Limited Use/Limited Access (LU/LA) elevator provides access for low occupancy / low rise commercial buildings where a traditional passenger elevator is not feasible or required by code. It is ideal for applications up to six stops and 40 feet of travel.  Symmetry Elevators are American Made, being engineered and manufactured in Peoria, Illinois. They are designed to comply with ASME A17.1 Section 5.2 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

If you’re preparing a commercial job and need a free, no-obligation bid from a qualified local elevator contractor, please contact us. We do not charge for bids, and we have the technical knowledge to help you determine the right solution for your application. We welcome all opportunities to work with local architects and engineers in developing the accessibility side of building plans

Our crews are also in Broken Arrow and Nixa today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Where Are We Wednesdays (02/07/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Today two of Country Home Elevator’s crews are in America’s Most Beautiful Small Town, Jefferson City, Missouri.  They are installing a Symmetry Limited Use/Limited Access Elevator down the road from the state capital, pictured top left.  Leading the industry in quality, style and design, LU/LA elevators by Symmetry are engineered and designed for use in schools and other educational settings, churches, multi-family housing units, libraries and more.

The LU/LA elevator provides access for low occupancy / low rise commercial buildings where a traditional passenger elevator is not feasible or required by code. Lead Technician Adam and Technician Ivan are part of the crews in Jefferson City, they sent in the next two pictures.  They have installed the rails that the elevator cab will ride on, and are setting up the electrical components.  As you can see, our crews operate under potentially hazardous equipment, so for protection they are all required to obtain OSHA Training before they can set foot on a jobsite.  We also have a monthly Safety Meeting, in which they receive up to date training on fall prevention and safety standards.  All crew members are also enrolled in the Certified Elevator Technician Training Program, through NAEC (National Association of Elevator Contractors).

Our crews are also in Joplin, Orongo, Pittsburg, Branson, Tulsa and Fayetteville today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Happy Wednesday Folks!

The pictures on the left were sent by our Oklahoma Operations Manager Jim.  He is with a team in Tulsa installing a Symmetry Limited Use/Limited Access Elevator at one of the high schools.  The Symmetry LU/LA Elevator provides access for low occupancy / low rise commercial buildings, it can reach up to 6 floors.

The top two pictures on the right were sent by our Lead Technician Adam.  He is with our Senior Technician Ron installing a Dumbwaiter at the new Missouri State University Health and Wellness Center in Springfield, Missouri.  If you look closely you can see that the internal mechanics are installed, now they will work on installing the cab and completing the exterior.

The final picture on the bottom was taken by our Arkansas Technician Dustin.  He is in Bentonville today running Planned Maintenance Visits.  Systematic examination, lubrication, adjustment, and cleaning of elevators to factory standards are necessary for safety and for longevity.  Factory standards recommend twice a year maintenance, it is comparative to an oil change and tune up for your car.

Our crews are also in Eldon and Leawood today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Wonders of Wildlife

Wonders of Wildlife

In 1972, Johnny Morris founded Bass Pro Shops in the back of his father’s store in Springfield, Missouri. From humble beginnings, he has grown his empire to nearly 100 stores internationally. Returning to his roots, Mr. Morris has opened the Johnny Morris’ Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium in Springfield. This 350,000-square foot conservation museum is larger than the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History with more than 1.5 miles of exhibits including a 1.5-million–gallon aquarium.

Last year during a soft opening, it was decided that the Symmetry Limited Use/Limited Access Elevator would need to be sped up to accommodate the large volume of museum goers. Country Home Elevator’s Owner Craig Jones and Operations Manager Bill Zarr worked alongside Mike Wettstein and Kevin Heyungs to come up with a plan. They increased the door close speed, decreased the door hold time, increased the down speed, decreased the time in zone, and adjusted the homing. Paired with an extensive Maintenance Control Program, the elevator was ready to go for the grand opening last month.

Where Are We Wednesdays (11/15/2017)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

The long summer may be over, but we at Country Home Elevator are as busy as ever!

Starting on the top left, our Oklahoma Operations Manager Jim is at French Park in Edmond, Oklahoma.  This series of office buildings house four Symmetry Limited Use Limited Access Elevators.  Nicknamed LU/LA, these elevators require less space and construction than typical commercial applications.

The top picture on the right and bottom picture on the left were taken at a jobsite in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  Our Lead Technician Adam and Technician Austin braved the muggy, muddy weather for this Symmetry Home Elevator installation.  With Thanksgiving being next week (can you believe it???), we are diligently working to finish up many installations so customers can enjoy their new lifts with the whole family.  Carrying a stuffing filled turkey is much easier in the elevator instead of up flights of stairs!

Our Technicians Tim and Ivan are in Clinton, Missouri today servicing a ThyssenKrupp Access LEV Home Elevator.  With ThyssenKrupp Access effectively shutting down its North American business in 2012, many owners of TKA elevators are wondering about their future parts and service needs.  In the Midwest, Country Home Elevator is here to offer our repair and/or replacement services.  For customers outside of the Midwest, we recommend Access2Parts.  As a national parts supplier, they provide parts for most product lines of home elevators, platform lifts, and stair lifts.

The final picture was taken by our Lead Technician Ron, his crew is also installing a home elevator in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  Although Symmetry Elevating Solutions is our recommended elevator brand, we can install virtually any brand of home elevator.  Give us a call for more information!

Our crews are also in Prairie Village, Springfield, Overland Park, St. Joseph, and Parkville today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays
