Pneumatic Vacuum Elevators #2 – Where Are We Wednesdays (09/26/2018)

Pneumatic Vacuum Elevators #2
Where Are We Wednesdays (09/26/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Starting on the top left, Technicians Ivan and Jake are in Mountain Grove, Missouri today.  They are installing a Symmetry Vertical Platform Lift.  Home lifts of this nature are not too disruptive to install, as you can see the homeowners are in the background anxiously awaiting their new lift (which will be finished today!).

Although we covered the basics of the Pneumatic Vacuum Elevator last week, our crews are installing another this week so we are going to take the opportunity to give more information on this futuristic looking lift.  Senior Technician Ron, Lead Technician Adam, and Technician Austin have been working on the installation, sending in pictures throughout the process in Clayton, Missouri.

Preparation for the Pneumatic Vacuum Elevator is simple, they require no pit, hoist way, or machine room.  The first picture shows our team unloading the preassembled pieces, they are laid on their side and the team group carries them in one by one.  Simple ramps are laid down to help the teams bring them in easier.

The elevators can accommodate up to 5 stops (floors), or 50 feet of travel.  Once the pieces are brought in, they are connected using pulleys to lower or raise each piece.  The PVE comes in three sizes, the smallest only has a 30” diameter!  It is truly the smallest elevator in the world, only requiring a 32-inch finished through floor hole for the elevator cylinder (and you!) to pass through.  This is a great option for townhomes with limited floor-plans.  The also come in a midsize, and the largest will accommodate a wheelchair.

As an environmentally-friendly home elevator, the only electrical required to power it is 220V, 35 Amp, single phase service. The power usage is similar to adding a washer or dryer. Safety is a big question with these lifts, and it is reassuring to know that should a power outage occur, the vacuum lift safely descends to the lowest level and the mechanical door lock enables the passenger to exit, preventing passengers from getting stuck. The cabin is equipped with an LED light as well as a cabin fan that circulates the ambient air throughout the elevator car.  For more information feel free to give us a call, or get automatic pricing here.

Our crews are also in Overland Park, Prairie Village, Springfield, Tulsa, Rogers, and Moundville today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Thanks for reading, and remember to check us out every Wednesday for updates!

Pneumatic Vacuum Elevators – Where Are We Wednesdays (09/19/2018)

Pneumatic Vacuum Elevators
Where Are We Wednesdays (09/19/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Starting on the top left, we snapped a few pictures of the crews loading up at the Corporate Office first thing this morning.  Our crews are quick to get loaded and on the road, typically leaving for jobsites just after 7 a.m. each morning.  Our Corporate Office is located in Brighton, Missouri; about 15 minutes north of Springfield.  There is a giant billboard on the highway pointing to our office, you can’t miss it!  We have a Symmetry Home Elevator, a Waupaca Dumbwaiter, four stair lifts (brands vary and are swapped often because we offer so many options), a Stairwell Elevator, and many samples to look through.  We are happy to offer demonstrations on any and all of our equipment, feel free to stop by!

The middle picture on the left is of Technician Ivan testing a Symmetry Vertical Platform Lift.  Along with Senior Technician Ron, they are installing this lift at the high school in Ash Grove, Missouri.  Vertical Platform Lifts are a common choice for schools, they are a more durable and economic option for wheelchair accessibility.

The picture on the bottom left was sent in by Lead Technician Adam.  His crew is in St. Louis, Missouri finishing an installation of a Stannah Stairlift in a church.  This lift successfully passed the County Inspection, and will be ready for parishioners to ride at services tonight!

The final picture on the right was sent in by Technician Tim in Prairie Village, Kansas.  He joined Installation Manager Bill, Kansas City Technician Darren, and Technician Jake in installing a Pneumatic Vacuum Elevator (PVE).  A relatively new technology, the pneumatic vacuum elevator has no peer for visual appeal, view from cab, quiet operation, and safety. Country Home Elevator sells and installs vacuum elevators from leading manufacturer PVE, in three sizes to accommodate the needs of every application.  The tubes come wrapped on the inside and the outside to maintain the highest quality during transport and installation, that is why the tube is not see through in the picture.

Our crews are also in Hot Springs, Gladstone, Del City, Ponca, and West Plains today.  If you see one of our trucks, like the one pictured above, feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays
