Elevator Cab Options – Where Are We Wednesdays (10/31/2018)

Elevator Cab Options
Where Are We Wednesdays (12/19/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Lead Technician Adam sent in the first two pictures while in Waynesville, Missouri today.  Along with Technician Tim, they are installing a Symmetry Home Elevator that will service two floors.  The first picture on the left shows the external hoistway that was built to accommodate the elevator.  Some homeowners choose this route instead of giving up existing room for the elevator, the tower will be finished to match the home and will look like it was there all along.

The top middle picture shows the elevator cab interior as it is being wired.  We can match the style and quality of any home with custom wood designs. Homeowners can choose from Maple, Birch, Red Oak, White Oak, Hickory, Cherry, Mahogany, Walnut, or Alder wood species for the elevator cab. Standard stain options include Satin Clear, Traditional Cherry, Golden Oak, and Country Pine.  The elevator car panels, car and ceiling, come in Flat, Shaker, Raised, or Recessed.  We have also partnered with Sundance Cabinets, a local small business, for completely customized elevators.

Oklahoma Operations Manager Jim sent in the last two pictures while in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Along with Technician Ivan, they are installing an Alliance Holeless Hydraulic Commercial Elevator.  This 2100-pound capacity elevator will service an office building.  The bottom middle picture shows the elevator pit with the jacks.  The advantage of holeless hydraulic elevators are that the jacks are located above ground, thereby eliminating the need to drill a jack hole and eliminating the risk of oil contamination.  The final picture on the right shows the elevator car top and rails.

Our crews are also in Sullivan, Hollister, Springfield, Topeka, St Marys, Kansas City, Cabool, and Poplar Bluff today.  If you see one of our trucks, feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Lead Technician Adam sent in the three pictures on the left while in St. Louis, Missouri.  This week he has been installing a Symmetry Home Elevator with Technician Austin.  This elevator will service three floors, and after the inspection in the morning it will be ready for the homeowner’s use!

Technician Ivan sent in the top middle picture while in Joplin, Missouri.  Today he installed a Stannah Stair Lift for this homeowner.  This straight rail stair lift has a folding footrest and arms so once parked it will not be in the way for others to use the stairs.  We can install stair lifts to accommodate many types of flooring, as you can see the runner fits perfectly under the lift.

Technician Ivan also sent in the bottom middle picture while in Buffalo, Missouri.  He trained Technician Jake on how to install a used Bruno Vertical Platform Lift.  Country Home Elevator does occasionally carry used equipment, and luckily this lift fit the needs of another homeowner.  Our inventory does vary day to day and used equipment typically goes fast, call today to see what we may have to fit your needs!

The final picture on the right was sent in by Sales Consultant John.  He met with his customer to see the finished Pneumatic Vacuum Elevator Lead Technician Adam’s team installed a few weeks ago.  This was the project that due to the split level of the house they used heavy machinery to lift the pieces up to the second floor.  The Pneumatic Vacuum Elevator comes in three sizes, this one is the largest capacity and will accommodate a wheelchair.

Our crews are also in Leawood, Lake Quivira, Reeds Springs, and Stotts City today.  If you see one of our trucks, feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Delivery!  Lead Technician Adam sent in the two pictures on the left today while in Branson West, Missouri.  His team is installing a Pneumatic Vacuum Elevator, due to the split level of the house they are using heavy machinery to lift the pieces up to the second floor.  The PVE comes in three sizes, this one is the largest capacity and will accommodate a wheelchair.

Technicians Tim and Ivan sent in the middle picture while at a job site in Shell Knob, Missouri.  They are installing a Symmetry Home Elevator that will service two floors.  Pictured is the Enterprise Gate option, this is the updated version of the scissor gate.  Homeowners enjoy the open feel of getting to see through the gate while maintaining safety code compliance.

Although the blizzard earlier this week kept our teams from being able to work in the Kansas City area, the weather warmed up enough for crews to reach this job site in Weston, Missouri today.  Installation Manager Bill joined Kansas City Technician Darren to first install a Staying Home Corp Dumbwaiter, once completed they will also be installing a Symmetry Home Elevator.  The top right picture was quickly taken before they got too cold unloading the equipment.

The final picture on the bottom right is of Technician Austin in Springfield, Missouri.  He is out on a service call checking the wiring.

Our crews are also in Branson, Hollister, Edmond, and Nixa today.  If you see one of our trucks, feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Parts Availability – Where Are We Wednesdays (11/21/2018)

Parts Availability
Where Are We Wednesdays (11/21/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

This week our crews have been busy with service and maintenance calls to ensure smooth customer lift use over the holiday weekend.  As important as it is to have a knowledgeable lift repair company, it is equally important that they have the access to parts for correcting any issues found.  The picture on the top was sent in by Senior Technician Ron while packaging parts to go out today at our Corporate Office in Brighton, Missouri.  The bottom left picture was sent in by Technician Ivan during a repair on a Waupaca Home Elevator in Sedalia, Missouri; and the bottom right picture was sent in by Technician Jake during a wiring check on a Symmetry Home Elevator in Springfield, Missouri.

With ThyssenKrupp Access effectively shutting down its North American business in 2012, many owners of TKA elevators are wondering about their future parts and service needs. The concern is not only for the TKA brand itself, but also for the many brands and lines produced or acquired by ThyssenKrupp Access over the years. These include National Wheel-O-Vator, LEV, Access Industries, and Destiny. On light commercial applications, TKA’s Evolution LU/LA and Flexi-Lifts are also affected.

The only TKA parts left in the US market will be those in dealer stockpiles, and these stockpiles will not last forever.  Luckily Country Home Elevator has built up an incredible parts warehouse, paired with the staff’s decades of industry knowledge we have been able to step in and help customers that would have to completely replace equipment otherwise.  Country Home Elevator also retrofits several LEV elevators and other discontinued brands per year with complete packages from Symmetry Elevating Solutions.

For customers outside of our servicing area, we recommend our sister company Access2Parts.  Fortunately, many ThyssenKrupp parts are not vendor proprietary – generic compatibles will work. The key is having the knowledge to correctly cross the TK, NWOV, or LEV part number to a compatible item. If there is a compatible generic part for what you need, they can find and source it. All you have to do is contact them with the original part number.

Our crews are also in Linwood, Lenexa, Leawood, Bristow, Collinsville, Kimberling City, and Branson today.  If you see one of our trucks, feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Stair Lift or Stairlift, Chair Lift or Chairlift – Where Are We Wednesdays (11/14/2018)

Where Are We Wednesdays (11/14/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Senior Technician Ron and Lead Technician Adam are at the Christian County Courthouse in Ozark, Missouri today and sent in the first picture on the left.  They are installing a Symmetry Vertical Platform Lift.  Vertical Platform Lifts are a great choice for lower lifting needs, they can accommodate a few inches or up to fourteen feet without taking up as much space as a ramp or elevator.

The middle picture was sent in by Kansas City Technician Darren in Parkville, Missouri.  He is completing the final check of a newly installed Symmetry Home Elevator.  This elevator will service four floors once completed.

Stair lift or stairlift, chair lift or chairlift; which is correct?  Throughout the industry, each of these four have been used, they are actually interchangeable.  Inclinator Co. of America was the first to invent the lift in 1923, and they call them stair lifts, so I’ll stick with that.

Technician Ivan sent in the bottom left picture while in Galena, Missouri.  He is training Technician Jake on installing a Stannah Stair Lift.  We almost always have straight rail stair lifts in stock for quick installation, they are customized to fit the measurements of the staircase then installed.  Did you know that we have a discount program for stair lifts?  Customers must be in our servicing area to qualify, and simply need to fill out the Staircase Measurement Discount Form to save $200!

The final picture on the bottom right was sent in by Country Home Elevator Owner Craig Jones.  This is the new stair lift owner in Galena, taking her pup for a ride.  She said she will always think of him when using it, stair lifts can be life changing for those who struggle with stairs.  Thank you Craig for setting the example of how this company treats customers, just look at that smile!

Our crews are also in Hot Springs, Tumbling Shoals, Mission Hills, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Pawhuska, Bartlesville, Chickasaw, Gravois Mills, Sunrise Beach and Osage Beach today.  If you see one of our trucks, feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays
