Stair Lift or Stairlift, Chair Lift or Chairlift – Where Are We Wednesdays (11/14/2018)

Stair Lift or Stairlift, Chair Lift or Chairlift
Where Are We Wednesdays (11/14/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Senior Technician Ron and Lead Technician Adam are at the Christian County Courthouse in Ozark, Missouri today and sent in the first picture on the left.  They are installing a Symmetry Vertical Platform Lift.  Vertical Platform Lifts are a great choice for lower lifting needs, they can accommodate a few inches or up to fourteen feet without taking up as much space as a ramp or elevator.

The middle picture was sent in by Kansas City Technician Darren in Parkville, Missouri.  He is completing the final check of a newly installed Symmetry Home Elevator.  This elevator will service four floors once completed.

Stair lift or stairlift, chair lift or chairlift; which is correct?  Throughout the industry, each of these four have been used, they are actually interchangeable.  Inclinator Co. of America was the first to invent the lift in 1923, and they call them stair lifts, so I’ll stick with that.

Technician Ivan sent in the bottom left picture while in Galena, Missouri.  He is training Technician Jake on installing a Stannah Stair Lift.  We almost always have straight rail stair lifts in stock for quick installation, they are customized to fit the measurements of the staircase then installed.  Did you know that we have a discount program for stair lifts?  Customers must be in our servicing area to qualify, and simply need to fill out the Staircase Measurement Discount Form to save $200!

The final picture on the bottom right was sent in by Country Home Elevator Owner Craig Jones.  This is the new stair lift owner in Galena, taking her pup for a ride.  She said she will always think of him when using it, stair lifts can be life changing for those who struggle with stairs.  Thank you Craig for setting the example of how this company treats customers, just look at that smile!

Our crews are also in Hot Springs, Tumbling Shoals, Mission Hills, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Pawhuska, Bartlesville, Chickasaw, Gravois Mills, Sunrise Beach and Osage Beach today.  If you see one of our trucks, feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

American Made Products
Where Are We Wednesdays (10/10/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Starting on the left, Lead Technician Adam and Technician Austin are at the University of Arkansas Fayetteville.  They are installing a Symmetry Vertical Platform Lift in one of the Fraternity Houses.  This platform lift is housed in a hoistway that was previously stacked closets, making it fully enclosed.  Once the installation is completed and the jobsite is cleaned up, the lift will be ready for use!  All of the products you will read about today were made not only in the USA, but in the Midwest.  Symmetry Elevating Solutions’ products come out of Peoria, Illinois.

The middle picture on the top was sent in by Senior Technician Ron and Technician Jessie.  They are installing another Canton Elevator for Grand Country Inn in Branson, Missouri.  Canton Elevator Incorporated products come out of North Canton, Ohio.

The picture on the bottom was sent in by Technicians Tim and Jake in Shell Knob, Missouri.  They are performing a prewire for a Symmetry Home Elevator.  During this visit they will check all final measurements of the hoistway to ensure that the elevator installation goes as smoothly as possible.

The final picture on the right was sent in by Oklahoma Operations Manager Jim in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He is at a service call for a Dumbwaiter made by Waupaca Elevator Company.  These home dumbwaiters come in either 100 or 200 pound capacities, and help the homeowner carry groceries, laundry, and holiday decorations from floor to floor.  They are unobtrusive, when the doors are closed they simply look like hallway cabinets.  Waupaca Elevator Company has been manufacturing dumbwaiters since 1957 and their products are based out of Appleton, Wisconsin.

Our crews are also in Springfield, Lenexa, Parkville, Licking, St. Louis, and Chestnut Ridge today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Pneumatic Vacuum Elevators #2 – Where Are We Wednesdays (09/26/2018)

Pneumatic Vacuum Elevators #2
Where Are We Wednesdays (09/26/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Starting on the top left, Technicians Ivan and Jake are in Mountain Grove, Missouri today.  They are installing a Symmetry Vertical Platform Lift.  Home lifts of this nature are not too disruptive to install, as you can see the homeowners are in the background anxiously awaiting their new lift (which will be finished today!).

Although we covered the basics of the Pneumatic Vacuum Elevator last week, our crews are installing another this week so we are going to take the opportunity to give more information on this futuristic looking lift.  Senior Technician Ron, Lead Technician Adam, and Technician Austin have been working on the installation, sending in pictures throughout the process in Clayton, Missouri.

Preparation for the Pneumatic Vacuum Elevator is simple, they require no pit, hoist way, or machine room.  The first picture shows our team unloading the preassembled pieces, they are laid on their side and the team group carries them in one by one.  Simple ramps are laid down to help the teams bring them in easier.

The elevators can accommodate up to 5 stops (floors), or 50 feet of travel.  Once the pieces are brought in, they are connected using pulleys to lower or raise each piece.  The PVE comes in three sizes, the smallest only has a 30” diameter!  It is truly the smallest elevator in the world, only requiring a 32-inch finished through floor hole for the elevator cylinder (and you!) to pass through.  This is a great option for townhomes with limited floor-plans.  The also come in a midsize, and the largest will accommodate a wheelchair.

As an environmentally-friendly home elevator, the only electrical required to power it is 220V, 35 Amp, single phase service. The power usage is similar to adding a washer or dryer. Safety is a big question with these lifts, and it is reassuring to know that should a power outage occur, the vacuum lift safely descends to the lowest level and the mechanical door lock enables the passenger to exit, preventing passengers from getting stuck. The cabin is equipped with an LED light as well as a cabin fan that circulates the ambient air throughout the elevator car.  For more information feel free to give us a call, or get automatic pricing here.

Our crews are also in Overland Park, Prairie Village, Springfield, Tulsa, Rogers, and Moundville today.  If you see one of our trucks feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Pneumatic Vacuum Elevators – Where Are We Wednesdays (09/19/2018)

Pneumatic Vacuum Elevators
Where Are We Wednesdays (09/19/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Starting on the top left, we snapped a few pictures of the crews loading up at the Corporate Office first thing this morning.  Our crews are quick to get loaded and on the road, typically leaving for jobsites just after 7 a.m. each morning.  Our Corporate Office is located in Brighton, Missouri; about 15 minutes north of Springfield.  There is a giant billboard on the highway pointing to our office, you can’t miss it!  We have a Symmetry Home Elevator, a Waupaca Dumbwaiter, four stair lifts (brands vary and are swapped often because we offer so many options), a Stairwell Elevator, and many samples to look through.  We are happy to offer demonstrations on any and all of our equipment, feel free to stop by!

The middle picture on the left is of Technician Ivan testing a Symmetry Vertical Platform Lift.  Along with Senior Technician Ron, they are installing this lift at the high school in Ash Grove, Missouri.  Vertical Platform Lifts are a common choice for schools, they are a more durable and economic option for wheelchair accessibility.

The picture on the bottom left was sent in by Lead Technician Adam.  His crew is in St. Louis, Missouri finishing an installation of a Stannah Stairlift in a church.  This lift successfully passed the County Inspection, and will be ready for parishioners to ride at services tonight!

The final picture on the right was sent in by Technician Tim in Prairie Village, Kansas.  He joined Installation Manager Bill, Kansas City Technician Darren, and Technician Jake in installing a Pneumatic Vacuum Elevator (PVE).  A relatively new technology, the pneumatic vacuum elevator has no peer for visual appeal, view from cab, quiet operation, and safety. Country Home Elevator sells and installs vacuum elevators from leading manufacturer PVE, in three sizes to accommodate the needs of every application.  The tubes come wrapped on the inside and the outside to maintain the highest quality during transport and installation, that is why the tube is not see through in the picture.

Our crews are also in Hot Springs, Gladstone, Del City, Ponca, and West Plains today.  If you see one of our trucks, like the one pictured above, feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Where Are We Wednesdays (09/12/2018)

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Starting on the left, Senior Technician Ron is in Weaubleau, Missouri today.  He is installing a Symmetry Vertical Platform Lift at the High School.  Once completed, this lift will be used to make the gymnasium ADA compliant.

The middle three pictures are of additional elevators being added to townhome projects.  Lead Technician Adam and Technician Jesse returned to the Front Street Condos in Washington, Missouri to add another Symmetry Home Elevator.  In the middle picture you can see that the elevator opens into the kitchen, making it easy for homeowners to transport groceries.  Oklahoma Operations Manager Jim, Technician Ivan, and Technician Owen are installing a Symmetry Home Elevator to another condo at the Urban 8 project in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  These private elevators enable urban developments to utilize minimal land by building up instead of out.

The final picture on the right was sent in by Lead Technician Adam, on his way to Washington he stopped in Springfield, Missouri for a quick elevator door adjustment for a contractor.  This Symmetry Home Elevator was made with a custom elevator cab by local small business Sundance Cabinets.  Owner Duane Sherman milled raw walnut to create the custom shiplap patterns of the walls.  He also installed a glass window and developed the specialty recessed ceiling.  Country Home Elevator offers full customization on our elevators, and are happy help bring your vision to life!

Our crews are also in Kansas City, Gladstone, El Dorado Springs, and Nevada today.  If you see one of our trucks, like the ones above, feel free to tag us on Facebook using #countryhomeelevator or #wherearewewednesdays

Happy Wednesday Folks!

Starting on the left, Oklahoma Operations Manager Jim and Technician Owen are at the Tulsa Air & Space Museum.  They are servicing a Symmetry Vertical Platform Lift, this is lift used to make an airplane tour accessible for all guests.

The top right picture was sent in by Technician Ivan and Kansas City Technician Darren while in Leawood, Kansas today.  They are installing a Symmetry Home Elevator, this one has an Inline Gear Drive System.  The IGD system is our most popular option, it does not require a machine room saving homeowners space and money without sacrificing safety.  This drive system accommodates up to six stops, 50’0″ of travel and is equipped to hold up to 1,000 pounds.

The final picture on the right was sent in by Lead Technician Adam, Technician Austin, and Technician Jacob while in St. Louis, Missouri today.  They are finishing up on the installation of a Symmetry Hydraulic Home Elevator.  Unique in the market, no other company offers emergency battery-operated lowering, COP and hall stations digital position indicators, custom wood sills and energy-efficient LED lighting as standard features.  This drive system also accommodates up to six stops, 50’0″ of travel and is equipped to hold up to 1,000 pounds.  Pictures were taken from a temporary landing used for installation, once the mechanics of the elevator are set it will be removed.
